Equipping a new kind of fisherman

Vision for our Youth at FISH

 
Jesus said, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” Mark 1:17 (MSG)  

 

  • Understand the Gospel & how it impacts our lives.
  • Apply talents & aspirations for God’s plan.
  • Interpersonal skills & Faith sharing.
  • Ask & Explore faith-related questions.


How?

  1. Use thought-provoking games to explore and apply Biblical truths & parables.
  2.  Cultivate trust & an open space for youth to share their questions and their point of view.
  3.  Use creative ways to express their faith and aspirations.
  4.   Read the Bible to understand God’s plan for Israel, believers & the world.
  5.  Follow-up exercises to encourage family involvement, reflection, and celebrate progress.

A Hope For Addictive Behaviours

  • Persistence use despite not good for you. This may include social media, phone, video, television, gaming, or online shopping.
  • Learn the connections between faith, our minds, & behavioural changes.

I am currently a Youth Counsellor with the Chinese Christian Church Hills District. I am a professional Counsellor, currently at Level 2 status with the Australian Counselling Association.

I am currently a Youth Counsellor with the Chinese Christian Church Hills District. I am a professional Counsellor, currently at Level 2 status with the Australian Counselling Association.  I am sensitive to our social and faith issues. I believe in listening to the next generation's dreams and helping them discover and use their talents to worship God. I've been a member of Bible Study Fellowship for over 15 years, and for 5 of these years, I was part of the Staff and Administration team.
