Equipping a New Kind of Fisherman

Vision for our Youth at FISH

 
Jesus said, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” Mark 1:17 (MSG)  

 

  • Understand the Gospel and its impact.
  • Use talents for God’s purpose.
  • Build faith-sharing and people skills.
  • Explore questions about faith.


How?

  1. Explore and apply Biblical truths through engaging games and parables.
  2. Build trust and create a safe space for youth to share questions and perspectives.
  3. Encourage creative expression of faith and aspirations.
  4. Study the Bible to understand God’s plan for Israel, believers, and the world.
  5. Use follow-up activities to foster family involvement, reflection, and growth.

A Hope For Addictive Behaviours

  • Persistence use despite not good for you. This may include social media, phone, video, television, gaming, or online shopping.
  • Learn the connections between faith, our minds, & behavioural changes.
  • Small group accountability.

  • Level-2 Registered Professional Counsellor w/ Australian Counselling Association
  • Master of Counselling w/ the University of Divinity

  • Church/Ministry experience in Discipleship & Spiritual maturity in Small Group

I spent 15 years as an entrepreneur before moving into leadership development and pastoral care as Senior Pastoral Associate at The Vine Church Hong Kong. I am currently a Youth Counsellor at a Chinese Christian Church and am a Level 2 professional Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. I’m passionate about walking with people, seeing Jesus’ restoration and healing, and helping the next generation use their gifts to worship God. I have been a Bible Study Fellowship member and leader for 20 years.
