Equipping a new kind of fisherman

Jesus said: “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” Mark 1:17 (MSG)

We are here to build community through exploring different hobbies and interests. Interests like animation, handmade crafts, race cars, photography, sports, cooking, and a lot more. Each school term, we will use one interest area to develop something together as a team project. These projects are aimed to be conversation starters to talk about our hope and faith in Jesus with others. During the term break, we will have a presentation day where the Youth will present the finished product to their friends and family. For each gathering, we will also have time for Bible-centred character-building discussions.

Term 1 topic:

Visual Storytelling & Animation (3 March – 16 April)

FISH Youth Centre is a creative and collaborative gathering place for youth from different churches across Sydney. The youth and parents will be encouraged towards:

1. Personal growth - Be aware of their weakness & pray to rely on God during team projects,
2. Spiritual growth - Learn how to tell others about their hope in Jesus, and
3. Multiplication - Bring true & proper worship to home, church and everywhere.

A 60-minute gathering to have a taste of how the youth can collaborate and what a Bible-centred character-building discussion looks like.

Parents and Youth are welcome.
