Equipping a New Kind of Fisherman

Vision

 
Jesus said, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” Mark 1:17 (MSG)  


MUSIC. GOSPEL. MULTIPLY.

To use music and the Gospel to gather youth around Sydney to be equipped and sent out for the Gospel mission. The vision is for youth to multiply their groups by conveying love and hope through music and sharing their faith stories with others.


HOW?

  1. Learn in small groups "How Jesus made disciples?"
  2. Give easy to follow steps for the youth to do the same.
  3. Receive support & mentorship from Trainers.

3 Days Activities

Youth should join if they want to learn in a small group setting:

  • Music  ><((( `>  Use music to convey thoughts and emotions
  • Gospel  ><((( `>  Learn to tell our own Gospel transformation story
  • Multiply  ><((( `>  Pass it on. Plan & invite others to join


6th, 7th & 8th Oct  10:00 am - 5:00 pm (application close on 29/9)

* 12-1 pm Lunch Break. No lunch provided.


About the facilitator : 

  • Sobee is a pastor & Christian counsellor. Her experience is in Discipleship & Spiritual maturity in Small Group setting.
  • She is passionate about walking with people, seeing Jesus’ restoration and healing, and helping the next generation use their gifts to worship God. She loves reading the Bible, she has been a Bible Study Fellowship member and leader for 20 years.

The Parables Place and Fish is a Gospel and Bible based organisation.

Fee: None. Limited spaces available. RSVP required.

Screening process: First-time applicant & matching of learning goals will be given priority. Confirmation required.

  • Learn the connections between faith, our minds, & behavioural changes.

I am the founder of The Parables Place. I spent 15 years as an entrepreneur before moving into leadership development and pastoral care as Senior Pastoral Associate at The Vine Church Hong Kong. I am currently a Youth Counsellor at a Chinese Christian Church and am a Level 2 professional Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. I’m passionate about walking with people, seeing Jesus’ restoration and healing, and helping the next generation use their gifts to worship God. I love reading the Bible, I have been a Bible Study Fellowship member and leader for 20 years.
